This 1979 work aimed to coexist jazz, samba, and flamenco with the aim of distinguishing from the crossover/fusion boom of the time. Most of the tracks were composed by Yasuaki Shimizu, who has Latin roots, with the participation of Yasuko Nagamine, a leading flamenco dancer, as a co-producer. It appears that after seeing Nagamine dance samba at a recital, label tried to fuse the three. "Prolog~The Girl In The Sky" starts with a romantic opening and moves to samba, "Ballad" is a flamenco jazz piece with rhythmic castanets by Nagamine, "Como Una Rosa" is a fusion of flamenco and samba, "Summer Wind" is a fusion sound where you can enjoy the elegant saxophone playing that is typical of Yasuaki Shimizu Yasuaki, and "Dindi" is a sensitive arrangement of Jobim's famous song by Sasaji Masanori. Members of Mariah participated. Very interesting direction. Rarely available with obi.
当時のクロスオーヴァー/フュージョンブームに一線を画す狙いを持ったジャズ・サンバ・フラメンコの共存を目指した79年の作品。ほとんどの楽曲をラテンをルーツに持つ清水靖晃が担当し、共同プロデューサーという形でフラメンコダンサーの第一人者 長嶺ヤス子が参加しています。リサイタルでサンバも踊る長嶺を見て三つの融合を試みたようです。ロマンティックなオープニングからサンバへ移っていく”Prolog〜The Girl In The Sky”、長嶺のカスタネットもリズミカルなフラメンコジャズ”Ballad”、フラメンコとサンバがフュージョンする”Como Una Rosa”、清水靖晃らしい気品溢れるサックスプレイを楽しめるフュージョンサウンド”Summer Wind”、ジョビンの名曲を笹路正徳がアレンジしたセンシティブな”Dindi”。マライヤメンバー全面参加。非常に興味深い指向の作品です。稀少な帯付き。
