The second album in 1987 by Wütrio, jazz quartet group consisting of Austrian saxophonist Wolfgang Puschnig who has also left works for ECM, German bassist Rudi Engel, pianist Martin Kübert, and vocalist Beate Kynast. Simply jazz master work that contains delicate and dynamic performances that bring the word "solid" to mind. The ethereal and deep Eurojazz "Impressions Of Autumn", the vocoder scatting of "Hallo Höppel" leads into a powerful performance, "Lament" which seems to depict a profound worldview are all excellent, and the abstract and thrilling experimental style jazz of "Rush Hour" is particularly impressive. The other tunes are also full of quality. Just want to immerse in the afterglow.
ECMにも作品を残しているオーストリア人サックスフォ二ストWolfgang Puschnig、ドイツ人ベーシストRudi Engel、ピアニストMartin Kübert、ヴォーカルのBeate Kynastの四人編成ジャズグループWütrioによる87年のセカンドアルバム。ソリッドという言葉が浮かぶ繊細かつダイナミズムな演奏を収録した作品で、幽玄かつディープなユーロジャズ”Impressions Of Autumn”、ボコーダーのスキャットから迫力の演奏に移っていく”Hallo Höppel”、深遠な世界観を描き出したような”Lament”も素晴らしいですが、アブストラクトかつスリリングなエクスペリメンタル・ジャズ”Rush Hour”が特に凄い。。他の曲もクオリティに富んでいます。全てを聴き終えた後の余韻に浸りたい、そんな思いにさせてくれます。
