The album was produced following a reunion session after Dickerson had taken a ten-year hiatus from the music world, and Dickerson composed all the tracks. \u003c\/span\u003eSide A consists almost entirely of vibraphone solos that showcase his awe-inspiring technique, while Side B features Sun Ra’s piano solos, and concludes with the final track “Space Dance” (what a great title!), a duet in which the two musicians engage in a lively exchange of improvisations. Both sides feature superb performances. It is a fascinating, unique entry in Sun Ra’s discography.
