1991 release work by Vitor Rua, one half of Telectu, Portugal's experimental unit, who show different expressions in each work. We speculate that the word "Vidya" in the title refers to collective playing, collaboration, sacred performance, which would later develop into activities in ensembles. The entire album has an indescribable marginal atmosphere, and the wonderful content highlights the fearlessness of his musicality that has never had any substance, with Nuno Rebelo, Saheb Sarbib, Carlos Zingaro, and others under the name Telect with Jorge Lima Barreto.

リリース毎に異なる表情を見せるポルトガルの実験ユニットTelectuの片割れVitor Ruaが残した91年作。タイトルのVidyaという言葉は後にもアンサンブルでの活動にも発展していく集団演奏やコラボレーション、神聖なパフォーマンスなどを指す言葉ではないかと推測します。こちらでもJorge Lima BarretoとのTelectu名義含めNuno Rebelo, Saheb Sarbib, Carlos Zingaroらと様々な音響実験を繰り広げていて、エスニック、スピリチュアル、プリミティヴを吞み込みだなんとも言えない雰囲気が漂っています。不思議と聞き入ってしまう魔性の魅力。最高です。
