It brilliantly fuses folklore, spiritual, and modal jazz, and while it includes some Aldemaro Romero compositions, the majority are originals by Virgilio Armas and label owner Freddy Leon. Besides \"Sobre El Orinoco\" which was also included on a compilation, shifts gears from a mirage-like opening into a powerful development, the album is consistently excellent, from amazing organic jazz of \"Barlovento\" to the atmospheric jazz bossa nova of \"Nery\" and the electronic jazz-like experiment of \"Indecisión\" which features organ accents. Both the record and jacket are in remarkably good condition for a Venezuelan release. First pressing.
