Carlos Alvarado, widely known as a member of the Mexican progressive band Chac Mool. While active alongside the band, this project Vía Láctea became essentially Carlos Alvarado's project after releasing their first album as a duo, though it seems he collaborated with artists like Jorge Reyes and Arturo Meza. This compilation CD gathers recordings from the project's active period between 1977 and 1997. The album contains 15 tracks, including "Los Manuseritos Pnakoticos", "Antroposofo" both with guitarist Jesús González Martín who has also worked as an engineer on the works of Germán Bringas, Nazca, Oxomaxoma, the 1980 recording ‘Ofrenda’ by members of Chac Mool in a mystical ancient Mesoamerican space, live experimental sessions with violinist Alfredo Flores (ex Delirium), and Carlos Alvarado's 1977 cosmic spacey recording “Ainsoph”. This is likely a recording exclusive to this CD.
メキシカンプログレッシブバンドChac Moolのメンバーで広く知られるCarlos Alvarado。バンドの活動と並行して活動していたこのVía Lácteaは二人体制でのファーストアルバムリリース後は実質Carlos AlvaradoによるプロジェクトとなるもののJorge ReyesやArturo Mezaといった実験アーティストと共に活動されてきたようです。本作はその活動期の77年から97年の音源をまとめた集大成的CD作品。エンジニアとしてもGermán Bringas, Nazca, Oxomaxomaといった作品群に関わる先鋭ギタリストJesús González Martínとの”Los Manuseritos Pnakoticos”, "Antroposofo"、1980年に制作されたChac Moolのメンバー達による古代メソアメリカ的神秘的空間"Ofrenda"、ヴァイオリ二スト Alfredo Flores (ex Delirium)によるセッションのライブ音源、Carlos Alvaradoの77年録音のコズミック・スペーシー”Ainsoph”など全15曲を収録。おそらくこのCDでしか聞けない音源です。メキシコの先鋭的なアーティストのひとりによる20年の歩み。
