The first in a series of field recordings left on the Kenyan CMS label. The first track is the amazingly primitive minimal song "Machungua" which sounds almost psychedelic with the screams and percussion accents. It also includes a solo performance by Juluo, a master of the string instrument Nyatiti, and a Kikuya circumcision song. Total amazing. The cover is the same as Vol.3.
ケニアCMSレーベルに残されたフィールドレコーディングシリーズ第一弾。なんといっても冒頭に収録された叫び声に打楽器音がアクセントになったサイケデリックにも聞こえてくる驚きの原生ミニマル”Machungua”がヤバいです。他にも弦楽器ニャティティの名人Juluoによるソロ演奏やキクヤ族の割礼ソングを収録。Vol.3と同様のジャケット仕様。
