A five disc compilation featuring tracks from 11 Australian underground artists released in 1984. The artists range from indie rock to new wave to post-punk, and are mostly relatively unknown, but there are some great tracks. First up, Poles Apart delivers two tracks the laid-back wave tune “Tropical Air” which incorporates reggae rhythms and minimal wave “Waterfall”, followed by I'm Talking's “Scratching” blends a bouncy beat with scratches and saxophone, Shake 288's wired new wave tune “No Death” with its varied rhythm work, and I.T.'s electro disco tracks ‘Dance’ and “Real Love” are our recommendations. For those seeking unknown sounds. The outer case has tape repairs and many scuffs. The colorful sleeve has damage on the bottom but is otherwise in good condition. The records appear to be almost unused.
84年リリースのオーストラリアの地下アーティスト11組の楽曲を収録した5枚組コンピレーション。インディロック～ニューウェーヴ～ポストパンクまでほとんど無名に近いアーティストばかりですがやはりいくつかいい曲入ってますね。まずPoles Apartなるグループのレゲエのリズムを取り入れたような緩やかなウェーヴ・チューン”Tropical Air”とミニマル・ウェーヴ”Waterfall”の両曲、I'm Talkingによるバウンシーなビートにスクラッチやサックスを折り交ぜていく”Scratching”、Shake 288による多彩なリズムワークのワイヤードなニューウェーヴ・チューン”No Death”、I.T.によるエレクトロ・ディスコ調”Dance”と”Real Love”の両曲は当店的にレコメンド。未知の音源お探しの方へ。外ケースはテープ補修や擦れ多くあり、カラフルなスリーブはボトムにダメージありますが外見良好、レコードはほとんど未使用と思います。
