Sunstroke, a unit of Ben Bollaert and Etienne Delaruye, based in Ghent, Belgium, who were drawn to the attractiveness of electronic music, released their only work privately in 1985. A fictitious soundtrack piece completed by refining the backbone of Berlin school, cosmic, ambient.. through repeated sessions in the studio. An sound space where early impulsive scape come to mind, giving the impression of looking at an utopia that is pale and dull and looks like it will soon disappear. These works are full of textures that would never be able to craft again even if musician wanted to. Just fantastic. Original.
エレクトロニック・ミュージックの魅力に引き込まれたベルギーはヘントを拠点にしていたBen BollaertとEtienne Delaruyeの二人によるユニットSunstrokeが85年に自主にてリリースした唯一作。スタジオにてセッションを重ねベルリンスクール、コズミック、アンビエント等のバックボーンを磨き上げて完成された架空のサウンドトラック作品。初期衝動的情景が浮かぶ、淡くくすんだすぐに消えてしまいそうな未完のユートピアを見ているような音響空間。こういった作品は作りたくても二度と作れない気がします。通して素晴らしい。稀少となってきているオリジナル盤です。
