The only work by South African guitarist Steve Eliovson with Oregon percussionist Collin Walcott. Though he began serious guitar study at 21 and released this astonishing work at 28, however, the groundwork for this album seems to have been laid by his work at a company that made guitar accessories and his time in a group that fused Indian music with jazz in the 1970s. He masterfully manipulates a guitar tone that is profoundly deep, rich, and delicate, while Collin Walcott's diverse percussion, changing with each track, adds vibrant color. Those familiar with this work likely know the unfortunate fact that he later suffered a tragic accident. After selling all his possessions and returning to South Africa, his existence became virtually unknown. An absolutely magnificent work. This is a Japanese edition released the same year as the original, in beautiful condition.

南アフリカ出身のギタリストSteve Eliovsonがオレゴンのパーカショ二ストCollin Walcottと主に残した唯一の作品にして超傑作。21歳からギターを本格的にはじめ28歳の時にリリースされたという驚きの作品ですが、ギターのアクセサリーを作る会社に勤めていたり70年代にはインド音楽とジャズを融合したグループで活動するなど今作への布石は整っていたようです。奥行きが深く豊かで繊細なギターの音色を操りCollin Walcottによる曲毎に変わる多様なパーカッションが彩りを与えています。この作品を知る方は彼がその後不運な事故に遭い、所有物を全て売り払い南アフリカに戻った後はその存在をほとんど知られる事はなかった事実を知っているでしょう。あまりにも素晴らしい作品。オリジナルと同年発売の日本規格版美品です。
