A one-off project from 1981 by Jon St James, who studied musique concrète in France and was active in the emerging music scene of his hometown Orange County, California, and keyboardist Albin Konopka. While it's unclear if it was produced for film-related purposes, the tracks range from spacey analog synths to futuristic visions and avant/experimental elements, honestly, it's a style you might expect, but the execution surpasses expectations. It also possesses a narrative quality that makes you want to keep listening deeper and deeper. We've recorded plenty of samples, so please give it a listen.
フランスではミュージック・コンクレートを学び地元カリフォルニア州オレンジカウンティの新進音楽シーンで活動していたJon St Jamesと鍵盤奏者Albin Konopkaによる81年のワンオフプロジェクト作品。どのような目的で制作されたものか不明ですがスペーシーなアナログ・シンセから近未来ヴィジョン、前衛的な要素を交えた楽曲まで、正直よくありそうな作風と思われそうですがどんどんと聴き込んでいくようなストーリー性も持ち合わせています。よく作り込まれている印象を抱かせてくれます。視聴多めに録ってありますのでじっくりと聞いてみて下さい。後にプロデューサーとして大成する片鱗を覗かせてくれます。
