A private gem from 1979, produced at the request of a planetarium in Florida by Spell, a one-off unit formed by American electronic musicians Jack Tamul and Joe Deihl, who worked on electronic music for broadcasting and soundtracks. Featuring a number of synthesizers and sequencers including Arp 2600, Omni, Axxe, Pro DGX, Moog, Prophet 5, the six tracks are a reaction to the overflowing use of electronics, psychedelic, cosmic, healing. In addition to the main track "The Pawn" which roars with piano and synths, it also includes the kosmische electronics "Time Waves" which sounds like you're floating in space, the melodic abstract electronics "Soft Moments" and the space ambient "The Temptress". Constantly overwhelmed by the intense, druggy sound. Disc is in great shape.
放送用電子音楽やサウンドトラックを手掛けていた米人電子音楽家Jack TamulとJoe DeihlによるワンオフユニットSpellによるフロリダのプラネタリウムの依頼で制作され倉庫で録音された79年のプライベート作品。Arp 2600, Omni, Axxe, Pro DGX, Moog, Prophet 5ら数多くのシンセサイザーとシーケンサーをフィーチャーしながらみなぎる電子使いにサイケデリック、コスミッシュ、ヒーリング等が反応した全6曲。本命のピアノとシンセによるうなりをあげていく”The Pawn”の他にも宇宙を漂っているかのようなコスミッシュ・エレクトロニクス”Time Waves”、メロディックなアブストラクト・エレクトロニクス”Soft Moments”、スペース・アンビエント”The Temptress”を収録。全編すごい。盤面良好です。
