The debut album from “Some Day” a duo featuring Byeong Woo Lee who has produced outstanding works as a solo and achieved success as a film composer and bassist/composer Dong Ik Jo. The album features quality tracks ranging from folk to ballads to synth-pop while retaining their signature melodic sensibility, starting with melancholic exquisite synth-pop track “하늘”, followed by light soft rock type “오래된 친구”, pensive folky number “지금 그대는”, folky ballad “오늘은,” and new age ballad “겨울 하루”. At first glance, it might seem understated, but these are songs that are meant to be listened to carefully. It has a similar feel to Byeong Woo Lee's first album. Amazing thoughout.
ソロでも傑出した作品を残し映画作曲家としても成功を収めるByeong Woo Leeとベース奏者/コンポーザーDong Ik Joによるデュオ”ある日”のファーストアルバム。メロンコリックな極上のシンセポップ”하늘”に始まり、軽快なソフトロック調”오래된 친구”、ペンシブなフォークナンバー”지금 그대는”、フォーキー・バラード”오늘은”、ニューエイジ・バラード”겨울 하루”まで持ち前のメロディセンスはそのままにフォーク～バラード～シンセポップまで上質な楽曲が並びます。一見地味に映りそうですがしっとり聞かせる楽曲群。Byeong Woo Leeの1stにも近い感覚。個人的にはセカンドよりこのファーストを推します。
