A cassette tape of 1987 released by Soliman Gamil, an internationally known composer who works on theater and movie soundtracks based in Cairo Egypt, at the beginning of the British Touch label. It mixes traditional Egyptian music with minimal, contemporary and abstract textures to create foreign and exotic modern classical music. It goes well with the texture of the cassette.
エジプトはカイロを拠点に演劇や映画のサントラを手掛け国際的にも知られる作曲家Soliman Gamilが英Touchレーベル初期に発表した87年のカセットテープ。エジプトの伝統音楽にミニマル、コンテンポラリー、アブストラクトな質感を混ぜ合わせながら異国情緒溢れるモダンクラシカル・ミュージックを作り上げています。カセットの質感との相性もいいですね。
