The highlight of this album is its sophisticated crossover sound, rooted in jazz but incorporating elements ranging from Latin, Brazilian, and funk to improvisation and experimental sensibility. Side A opens with Brazilian style \"Cricket Dance\" featuring intricate arrangements throughout, followed nearly ten-minute tune \"Rain Forest\" that incorporates electronic sounds and experimental elements, and dope jazz-funk \"The Serpent Speaks\" highlighted by electric piano. Side B features Latin jazz style “Lace” which exudes a mature, sensual vibe, and crossover jazz piece “Solar Plexus” with diverse musical developments. All 5 tracks are undeniably superb.
