A musician / peace activist Shokichi Kina who established a Uchinah pop that arranged Ryukyu folk songs in a modern style. Attention is to remix Tomoko Kina's Tie Island in two versions with a comfortable rhythm of around BPM 100 on B side. It is a piece that has been reevaluated so that it will fit in the current scene.
琉球民謡を現代風にアレンジしたウチナー・ポップを確立した音楽家/平和活動家の喜納昌吉がハウスブーム真っただ中の91年に沖縄Dance Mixと名付けられ密かにリリースされていた琉球ダンス12インチ盤。注目はB面で喜納友子のTie IslandをBPM100前後の心地よいリズムで2ヴァージョンでリミックス。今のシーンにもはまりそうな再評価されている一枚です。
