Collaborative work by Sebastião Tapajós & João Cortez in 1989. Brazilian guitarist/composer Sebastiao Tapajos has performed all over the world, from Brazil,Argentina,Portugal,Spain, also as a backing musician for Hermeto Pascoal and Astor Piazzolla, and drummer/percussionist João Cortez, who has been the backing musician for Ivan Lins for many years.The first is A2, which features Sebastiao Tapajos' signature flowing melodies of guitar and Cortez's excellent percussion, and the second is A4, a reprise of his work with Pedro Dos Santos.It's a gem of a session and a great organic soundscape.
Hermeto PascoalやAstor Piazzollaなどのバッキングミュージシャンとしての肩書やソロ作でも多くの作品を発表してきたブラジルとアルゼンチンはたまたポルトガルやスペインで音楽を学んだ経歴などラテン主要国を渡り歩いてきたブラジルのギタリスト/コンポーザーSebastiao Tapajosと長年Ivan Linsのバッキングミュージシャンとして活動してきたドラマー/パーカッショ二ストJoão Cortezのコラボレーション作品。まずはSebastiao Tapajos特有の流れるような美しい旋律のギターにパーカッションが交わるA2、Pedro Dos Santosとの共作での再演となるA4。珠玉のセッションと有機的なサウンドスケープが素晴らしい。
