Rolando Chía Pérez was involved in two of the finest EPs from the Mexican underground released in 1985, “Tratado De Insectos De Metamorfosis Completas” and "Vistas Fijas", as well as the elusive 1988 compilation of Mexico City underground artists “Los Valses De Al Ejandra”. This album differs from the aforementioned works, featuring minimal deeply resonant tracks centered around acoustic guitar. It embodies a sense of foresight and a unique aesthetic sensibility. We were able to acquire one copy during a previous buying trip to Mexico, but heard that a deadstock copy has now been unearthed. Deeply moved to be able to listen to it again and immersing ourself in a whole new experience.
85年に残したメキシコアンダーグラウンド最高峰の二枚のEP"Rolando Chia, Darsel Salinas - Tratado De Insectos De Metamorfosis Completas"と"Vistas Fijas - S/T"や88年にメキシコシティ地下アーティスト幻のコンピレーション"Los Valses De Al Ejandra"などに関わるRolando Chía Pérez。本作は前述の作品とは異なるアコースティックギターを中心にしたミニマルで奥深く響く楽曲中心の作品。先見性と独自の美意識が息づいています。以前メキシコでの買い付け時に一枚入手できましたが、今回デッドストックが発掘されたとの事。改めて聴く事ができて感無量、そしてまた違った感覚に浸っています。
