Richard Peaslee, a New York-based composer known for his work in theater, orchestra, dance, and film and television soundtracks since the 1960s, produced this independent album in 1980. Electronic sculpture with the participation of many jazz, experimental ,avant-garde musicians such as David Van Tieghem,Allan Jaffe during the mature period of 50 years old at that time. Experimental electronics "The Dancing Phantom" on last track, the imaginary electronic soundscape of "Terra Nova", and "The Iron Compass, Pastorale, Boogie, Machaut" where the synth sound changes like a story, are especially brilliant.
60年代より演劇、オーケストラ、ダンス、映画やテレビのサウンドトラックなど多岐に渡る作曲家として知られるニューヨーク出身のRichard Peasleeの80年の自主制作盤。David Van TieghemやAllan Jaffeなどジャズ、エクスペリメンタル、アヴァンギャルド界隈のミュージシャンが多数参加した電子作品。ラストに収録されたエクスペリメンタル・エレクトロニクス”The Dancing Phantom”、イマジナリーな電子音風景が広がる”Terra Nova”、シンセサウンドがストーリー仕立ての様に変化していく”The Iron Compass, Pastorale, Boogie, Machaut”など当時50歳の円熟期のもたらす幾重にも重ねられるレイヤーの音像が広がります。
