Picky Picnic, the enigmatic unit that still exudes a mysterious atomosphere. This demo tape produced in 1982 for Der Plan, a founder of label of Ata Tak who released their first album (whether it was sent to other labels or officially released later remains unclear). It contains 15 tracks of pure strange pop sound, directly descended from Der Plan, who clearly had a major influence. There is a glimpse of their early impulses, but you can also hear that the sound already possesses quality. The lo-fi feel, combined with the sound quality of the tape, is irresistible. We don't know when we'll be able to get our hands on this again, so don't miss out!
今もなおミステリアスな雰囲気を漂わす異形ユニットPicky Picnic。本作は1stアルバムのリリース元であるAta Takの大本Der Planへ向けて制作された82年のデモテープ作品（他のレーベルにも送られたのか、その後に正規にリリースされたのかそこら辺はちょっとわかりません）。まさに大きな影響を受けていたというDer Plan直系のストレンジ・ポップ・サウンド全15曲を収録。初期衝動も垣間見えながらも既にそのサウンドは群を抜いていたのがわかると思います。テープの音質も相まったローファイ加減もたまりません。今後いつ手に入るかわかりませんのでどうぞお見逃しなく。
