Opa, led by the Fattorusso brothers, had already disbanded, but after opening for Milton Nascimento on his tour in Buenos Aires, Don Oscar Lopez approached them about a studio album, which led to the creation of this work. Though it was released under the name Otroshakers due to the absence of two original members, but features likea a Ruben Rada and Maria de Fatima. While showing experimental aspects in many places, the songs are all well crafted, with Hugo's use of electronics and Osvaldo's drumming outstanding. The opening track “La Maranaza” stands out as one of their finest songs. Though widely recognized among Uruguayan works, it remains truly remarkable. Argentina original. While copies with noticeable ring wear are common, this one seems to have relatively little.
ファットルーソ兄弟が率いたOpaは既に解散した後でしたがブエノスアイレスでのMilton Nascimentoのツアーのオープニングアクトを務めた事を機にドンOscar Lopezからスタジオ・アルバムのオファーが届き制作に至った作品が本作。オリジナルのメンバー二人を欠いていた為にOtroshakers名義となったもののRuben RadaやMaria de Fatimaといったメンバーが参加しています。随所に実験的な側面を見せながらも楽曲はどれも完成されている印象、更にウーゴの電子使い、オズヴァルドのドラムも冴えわたっています。特にオープニングの”La Maranaza”は屈指の名曲。ウルグアイの作品でも特に大きく知られていますが改めて素晴らしいです。アルゼンチンオリジナル。リングウェア目立つコピーも多いですがまだ少ない方かなと思います。
