A killer local single from Kagoshima prefecture. The best is "Shochu Donpan," a disco-arranged version of Akita's "Donpan-bushi", an irresistible song packed with lyrics which are typical of Shochu "Kingdom" Kagoshima, the minor chord progression, accented horn tones, the female chorus, and Osamu Miyahara's crisp singing. Side A includes the song style "Shochu Bushi" which is not bad either.
鹿児島県産ご当地キラーシングル盤。なんといっても秋田の「ドンパン節」をディスコアレンジを加え替え歌にしちゃった”焼酎ドンパン”が最高。焼酎王国らしい歌詞、マイナー調のコード進行、伸びのあるホーン、女性コーラス、そして宮原おさむの歯切れのいい歌唱とたまりません。盛り上がりそう。A面にはこちらも悪くない歌謡スタイル"焼酎ぶし"を収録。
