Os Originais Do Samba, a six-member Black samba group formed in the early 1960s in the hillside favelas of Rio. This album, released in 1973, comes after numerous international tours, performances in various theaters, and their relocation to São Paulo. It features 12 diverse and rich tracks, each member handling both percussion and chorus. From the popular "Falador Passa Mal" with lively batucada rhythm and relaxed chorus, to the mellow and uplifting "Frevo Do Saberé" and suite-like "Os Sucessos De Erasmo E Roberto Carlos" showcasing the brilliance of the chorus, the album is consistently upbeat. Perfect for this season. This is the 1978 Japanese edition with obi. The insert was written by Touyou Nakamura.
