Nuevos Aires, a four-piece chamber tango jazz/progressive rock group led by Fernando Egozcue, released their album in 1990. It's like the gorgeous musicality of tango dropped into a jazz/fusion sound that pervades the whole atmosphere, In particular, A1 "Ser Dos" is the best song with a melodic line that wraps around the comfortable drumming, A3 with a seamless urban performance, B1 with a jazz-rock tune led by tango keys, B2 with full of romanticism for Argentina. One of the unknown stuff of Melopea Discos, which is also close to Los Músicos Del Centro.
Fernando Egozcueを中心に結成された四人組チェンバー・タンゴ・ジャズロック/プログレグループNuevos Airesの90年作。タンゴの華麗な音楽性をジャズ/フュージョンサウンドに落とし込んだような雰囲気が全体を覆っていて特にA1”Ser Dos"が心地よいドラミングに哀愁が包み込むメロディラインが交差した最高の曲、緩急をつけた隙のないアーバンな演奏のA3、正にタンゴの鍵盤がリードするジャズロックチューンB1、アルゼンチンの慕情溢れるB2などMelopeaに残された知られざる一枚。Los Músicos Del Centroなどにも近い印象でDJにもよさそうです。気分は秋。静部で少しチリチリと鳴りますが再生良好です。
