The first album in 1984 by Not Drowning, Waving, a group formed in Melbourne that have a style of music that incorporates world music,ambient music with nature and politically lyrics. It's an already completed sound that combines world ethno and ambient essence with the delicate melody work from classical music background by David Bridie and John Phillips, core memeber's of the group. Especially A5 "Perfect Design" and B2 "Home On My Own" are excellent. A wonderful piece that shows the high musical taste of the members. Reissue version in 1988.
メルボルンで結成され、ワールド・ミュージック、アンビエントなどを取り入れた音楽性に自然やポリティカルな歌詞などを織り交ぜたグループNot Drowning, Wavingの84年のファーストアルバム。グループの中心David BridieとJohn Phillipsによるクラシック仕込みの繊細なメロディワークにエスノ成分や環境音楽が溶け合った既に完成されたサウンド。特にA5"Perfect Design", B2"Home On My Own"は秀逸。メンバーの高い音楽嗜好が伺い知れる素晴らしい作品です。88年の後発盤です。
