Not Drowning, Waving, a new wave band formed in Melbourne, Australia, which was popular for its style incorporating ambient and ethnic music,etc and the Rabaul district of Papua New Guinea, the Bismarck Islands right up from its main island above Australia, a '90 collaboration between local musicians in there and singer Telek. This is a breathtaking blend of authentic ethno-energy and radical new wave sound, filled with a well-honed spirit. A4/B5/B7 are especially amazing.
アンビエントや民族音楽を取り入れたスタイルで人気を得ていたオーストラリア・メルボルンで結成されたニューウェイブバンドNot Drowning, Wavingとオーストラリアの上に位置するパプアニューギニア、その本島から右上に位置するビスマルク諸島Rabaul地区周辺の地元のミュージシャン達とシンガーTelekとの90年のコラボ作品。そんな本場のエスノエネルギーと先鋭的なニューウェイブサウンドが融合した研ぎ澄まされた気が漲る圧巻の内容。A4/B5/B7は特に凄いです。
