The only self-released album by Nomads, an Afro ensemble formed in Detroit. African-American producer Earl "King Mellowman" Clarke, who has been instrumental in bringing reggae and calypso to Detroit and continues to be a trusted figure in the scene, participated in the production. African rhythms and melodies are seamlessly interwoven with reggae, calypso, soul, funk, and dub influences to create a fascinating sound. Total 9 ambitious tracks, including the soul dub "Africa for Africans" with beautiful vocals, the funk rock "The Journey", and the sweet reggae dub "Freedom Fighters". The cover, which conveys the band's feelings for Africa, is also amazing.
