Arturo Meza, a multi-artist born in Michoacán, Mexico, who, in addition to being a musician, also makes his own instruments, and is a lyricist, poet, and writer, and has continued to work independently throughout his life. This work is a split album with Nirgal Vallis, led by José Luis Fernández Ledesma Q, released on Arturo Meza his own label in 1984. Side A features a soundscape that incorporates Baroque elements reminiscent of ancient and medieval times. The dreamy melody invites you into a world of fantasy. On side B, Arturo Meza creates a fantastical space reminiscent of pre-Hispanic times together with Maja Rustige. Even if you've been put off by the artwork's strong baroque influences, give it a listen.
