Rapso, Trinidadian music that developed out of the social unrest of the 1970s, is a hybrid of soca and rap music. After several waves, the Network Riddum Band with Brother Resistance on lead vocals, one of the most famous bands of the early 80's, released their most famous song, "Ring De Bell," which advocated ringing the bell for justice and freedom. A dope tune called "Ring De Bell" with band beats and accented steelpan / marimba tones. Only this original 12" contains the festival version sung by Brother Resistance. This jacket showing Bell says it all.
1970年代の社会不安から発展し、ソカとラップをハイブリッドしたトリニダッド音楽Rapso。いくつかの波を経て、80年代前半の代表格であるBrother Resistanceがリードヴォーカルを務めるNetwork Riddum Bandが正義と自由のために鐘を鳴らすことを唱えた最も有名な曲がこの”Ring De Bell”。バンド編成のビート、アクセントのスティールパン/マリンバの音色と共にRing De Bellと連呼されるドープな一曲。このオリジナル12インチのみにBrother Resistanceが歌うフェスティバル・ヴァージョンが収録してあります。ベルが映し出されたこのジャケットが全てを物語っています。（ジャケ写ありはこのオリジナルのみのようです）
