Nana Tuffour, a musician/keyboardist hailing from Kumasi, a hub of Ghanaian culture and music. He rose to prominence in the late 1970s as the frontman of the Waza Africo Band and went on to become one of Ghana's leading Highlife songwriters, performing extensively in Nigeria and across the globe. His 1979 debut album recorded in Ghana (unlike his later works, which were recorded abroad), features 6 tracks that blend Highlife with elements of reggae and tropical vibes. The album showcases the analog synthesizers characteristic of the era, delivering a unique, retro sound that is simply irresistible, highlights include the digi-reggae style "Abrabo" and "Don't Stop Loving" which pairs a breezy rhythm with bold, buzzing synth lines, alongside tracks defined by the laid-back rhythms that became his signature style. Fantastic afro piece. UK release in amazing condition.
ガーナの文化/音楽の中心クマシ出身のミュージシャン/キーボード奏者Nana Tuffour。70年代後半にWaza Africo Bandのフロントマンとして大きく飛躍し、その後もナイジェリアはじめ世界各地で活躍したガーナを代表するハイライフ・ソングライターのひとり。このガーナで録音された（その後は国外での録音）79年のファーストアルバムではハイライフにレゲエやトロピカルを取り入れた全6曲を収録。全編でこの時代らしいアナログシンセをフィーチャーしていてレトロライクな独特な音色がたまらないディジ・レゲエ調”Abrabo”や軽快なリズムにシンセをブリブリ鳴らす”Don't Stop Loving”はじめ、彼のシグネチャーでもあるゆったりしたリズムで構成されたトラックが並びます。こりゃ最高～！超美品のUKリリース版。
