Mute Beat, a dub band formed primarily by Kazufumi Kodama and Gota Yashiki, former members of Rude Flower/The Spoil. After releasing an 8-inch EP and adding new members, their legendary debut album was released via Cassette Magazine TRA. The gritty texture, relaxed vibe, and underground melancholy that could only be captured in that era's atmosphere are frankly cool. The diverse musical direction evident in the tracks speaks to the band's maturity. The tape sound quality is also amazing, with tracks like the classic "Still Echo" set over lo-fi dub with wailing trumpets, and the groovy, weighty "Landscape". This special edition comes in a wooden case resembling a cigar box. Complete set including 4 postcards and newspaper featuring Mute Beat (cassette wrapped inside). Though reissued later, this is the genuine original. There's a tear in the seal that occurred when the case was opened (which is unavoidable...).
元ルード・フラワー/ザ・スポイルのこだま和文と屋敷豪太が中心になり結成されたダブ・バンドMute Beat。8インチEPをリリースしメンバーも追加されカセットマガジンTRAよりリリースされた伝説的ファーストアルバム。当時の空気感でしか出す事が出来ないであろうロウな質感、寛ぎ感、アングラ的な哀愁をまとった佇まいが率直にかっこいい。様々な志向を感じ取れる楽曲群もバンドの完成度を物語っています。むせび泣くようなトランペットが響くローファイ・ダブのように演奏される名曲”Still Echo”、グルーヴィーでずっしりとした”Landscape”などテープの音質も相まって最高。葉巻の箱を模した木製のケースに入った特殊仕様。4枚のポストカード、Mute Beatの事が書かれた新聞紙（カセットが包まれています）付きの完品。以後再発もされますがこれが正真正銘のオリジナル。開封時にできたシールの破れ（やむを得ない感じ。。）があります。
