One of main project of British ethnic electronica/experimental musician Bryn Jones was the 1987 work of Muslimgauze, a name influenced by the conflict and history of the Islamic world. The sound is a mixture of indigenous music from Middle Eastern and South Asian countries, drones, noise, rhythm programs, and message, this album also features the ethno-ambient "Sapere Aude," the organic dub "Una Voce," and the breakbeat new age !? "Emeute" total 6 tracks. The style is as unique as ever. Since the work is instrumental, it seems that most of the political statement was expressed in the packaging.
マンチェスター出身の実験音楽家Bryn Jonesが主要プロジェクトの一つとして取り組んだ、イスラム世界の紛争と歴史に影響を受けた名義Muslimgauzeの87年作。ミドルイースタンや南アジア諸国の土着音楽、ドローン、ノイズ、リズムプログラムそしてメッセージを混ぜ合わせた多くの作品がありますが、本作でもエスノ・アンビエント”Sapere Aude”、オーガニック・ダブ”Una Voce”、ブレイクビーツ・ニューエイジ!?な”Emeute”を含む全6曲を収録。作品がインストゥルメンタルの為、政治的主張のほとんどはパッケージングに表されていたようです。
