1980 release from legendaly cult rabel Vanity, it marks the comeback attempt of Morio Agata who had produced hit songs in the ’70s and was recognized as a folk artist but had since begun to lose popularity and had failed in his foray into film. It seems he was an old acquaintance of Yuzuru Agi, who commissioned the techno-pop project, and it was produced with the participation of the Vanity All-Stars lineup. Besides his signature tracks like the telex-influenced "Radio City of Love" and the Joy Division-influenced "Submarine" sung by Phew and cholus, the album also includes shape techno-pop track "Cocktail Machine", "Continuous Perfume Bottle" with Agata singing over electronic harmonies, and the folky "Twilight Waltz," showcasing Agata's heartfelt singing, a track that Aki seemed to have embraced. This album truly blends Agata's individuality with Vanity's quality. It's a masterpiece said to have influenced artists worldwide, starting with Jim O’Rourke. 300 limited original copy.
