Michel Banabila, a Dutch sound artist whose works include film and theater, Fourth World soundscapes, neo-classical music, and collaborations. This is self-released cassette piece in 1989. It features a style strongly influenced by New Age/ambient and ethnic music, from imaginative soundscapes with repeated minimal refrains, to pieces with the reverberating sound of a squirming harmonium, experimental classical music using insect-like radio sounds(?), pieces with acoustic piano that evoke meloncoly emotion. It's truly stand-out. The extremely rare original cassette version.
映画や演劇作品、第四世界的音風景、ネオ・クラシカル、コラボレーションに代表される作品を残すオランダ人サウンドアーティストMichel Banabila。本作は89年に自主リリースされたカセットテープ作品。ニューエイジ/アンビエントや民族的志向を色濃く感じさせる作風でミニマルなリフレインを繰り返すイマジネイティヴなサウンドスケープから、ハーモ二ウムがうごめくように響き渡る楽曲、虫の音のようなラジオの音声(?)を用いた実験クラシカル、メロンコリーに揺れるアコースティックピアノを用いた楽曲まで全曲聴き応えあります。本当に素晴らしい。非常に稀少となっているオリジナルカセット版。
