An Indonesian release has washed ashore, exuding an unusual vibe right from the title“Marijuana and Dynamite” and artwork. Created by a duo believed to be called Max & Alex, this is a light mellow type work with a folk and rock foundation and a touch of cheesy synth, that’s hard to imagine from the title alone. The entire album is fantastic and can be enjoyed with balearic or chill-out vibe. For a moment, we wondered if it was made by a foreigner living in Indonesia, but the lyrics are entirely in Indonesian. Total mystery. It appears to be a completely private album with no catalog number and no Discogs.
「マリファナとダイナマイト」のタイトルやアートワークからもただならぬ雰囲気を漂わすインドネシア物件。Max & Alexなるデュオと思われる二人による、タイトルからは想像しがたいフォークやロックを下地にしたイタないシンセが入るライト・メロウ作品。バレアリックやチルアウトな感覚でも面白く聞ける全編めっちゃいい内容。一瞬インドネシアに住み着いた外国人が作ったのかなと思ったら全編インドネシア語歌詞です。謎。90年前後のリリースかな？カタログ番号もない完全自主制作盤と思われます。
