Matthias Raue, a German film composer/educator who has been active since the 1970s, producing work that transcends genre boundaries spanning from film scores, song writing to avant-garde music. This release is the soundtrack to a TV drama filmed in Mari, one of the few projects issued under his own name. This album has also caught the attention of ambient and experimental music enthusiasts, side A showcases a cinematic side, while the highly anticipated Side B features 3 tracks including percussion soundscape that seem to express the artist’s avant sensibilities. In particular, track B2 “Brücke Am Schwarzen Fluss - 2,” is outstanding and reminiscent of Vasilisk and Mkwaju Ensemble. Excellent copy.
70年代より映画音楽はじめ歌曲や前衛音楽に至るまでジャンルの垣根を超えてプロデュース業を手掛け活躍しているドイツ人映画作曲家/講師/コンポーザーMatthias Raue。本作は数少ない本人名義でリリースされたテレビ映画作品のサウンドトラック。アンビエント/エクスペリメンタル音楽探究家にも注目されている一枚で、A面ではシネマティックな一面、注目のB面では彼に宿る前衛サイドを表現したようなパーカッションを交えた3編を収録。特に音響的感覚も優れたVasiliskやMkwaju Ensembleを彷彿とさせるB2”Brücke Am Schwarzen Fluss - 2”が素晴らしい。超美品。
