While the artist is clearly a follower heavily influenced by Kaoru Abe, the album offers a pleasing listening experience that balances an edgy performance style with a sense of lingering resonance, allowing the listener to savor the spaces between the notes. Personally, this is one of our favorite improvisation albums.
