Marnie Weber, a visual artist who pioneered art rock in LA in the 80s and continues to produce work today. This is her first solo album, released in 1988 after a stint in a band. Produced by Philip Drucker, known for main member of 17 Pygmies, the album features 10 tracks dyed with gloomy synthesizers, heavy bass, strange melodies, girlish delusions, industrial elements. It's filled with the same kind of toxicity as her other creations, as well as an ethereal view of world. This LP version was released in Greece in 1990 with the original cassette jacket specification. The US version from the same year, which is like an art piece is extremely rare.
80年代のLAのアートロックのパイオニアにして現在も作品を発表し続けるビジュアル・アーティストMarnie Weber。本作はバンド活動を経て88年に発表されたファーストソロアルバム。17 Pygmiesの活動で知られるPhilip Druckerプロデュースの元、陰鬱なシンセサイザー、重厚なベース、奇妙なメロディ、乙女妄想、インダストリアルで染められた全10曲を収録。彼女の創作物に通じる奇怪なポップセンスの中に見る優美な世界観が広がっています。オリジナルジャケット仕様で90年にギリシャよりリリースされたLP盤。同年発のアート作品のようなUS盤は非常に稀少となっています。
