7" single by Marilyn from the Philippines before her debut album as Marlene, who has released many high quality albums in Japan. On the A-side, killer disco cover of Newton Family's "Santa Maria," which is sung in Japanese, and to be honest, this cover is better than the original. On the B-side is "And Farewell," a soft rock type tune written by Jun Hashimoto&Kyohei Tsutsumi and arranged by Tsugutoshi Goto, which is also quite good. Recommended.
日本でも上質のアルバムを多数リリースしているフィリピン出身のマリーンのデヴューアルバム以前のマリリン名義の7"シングル。A面にはカタコトの日本語による歌声もたまらないNewton Familyの"サンタ・マリア"のキラーカバー、正直こちらの方が原曲よりいいのでは。B面には橋本淳＆筒美京平作、アレンジは後藤次利が手掛けたソフトロック的な”そして別れ”こちらも相当いいです。推薦盤。
