One of the three singles released in 1980 by Vanity Records led by Yuzuru Agi. This is the only work under their own name except for a compilation by the Tokyo-based girl trio band Mad Tea Party, and includes dark post-punk “Hide And Seek” with heavy guitar sounds and two tracks on the B-side that reflect the experimental side of the band, using tape reversals and dub processing. The minimal dub wave track "In A Tea Bag" on B2 is the best. Think this alone makes it a valuable piece. The recording/mix was done at YLEM studio, and the photos of the three singles are by the legendary Takayuki Shiraishi (BGM).
阿木譲率いたVanityが80年に発表した3枚のシングル盤のひとつ。東京を拠点に活動していたガールズ・トリオ・バンドMad Tea Partyによる単独名義では唯一となる作品で、A面ではヘヴィーなギター音の鳴るダークなポストパンクを演奏した”Hide And Seek”、B面にはテープの逆回転やダブ処理を用いた実験的な側面を映した2曲を収録。このB2のディレイを効かせたミニマル・ダブ調の”In A Tea Bag”が最高。これだけで価値ある一枚と思います。録音/ミックスはYLEMのスタジオにて行われ、3枚のシングルの写真はレジェンド白石隆之氏(ex BGM)によるもの。
