In 1984, Spinetta Jade disbanded due to internal conflicts among its members. Subsequently, Spinetta began working on a collaborative project with another giant, Charly García, but this too came to nothing. He then embarked on a joint project with Fito Páez, with whom he had previously performed. This collaboration between Spinetta, who had been steadily building his career, and the younger generation became a reality. Spinetta was 36 at the time, Paez 23. This monumental work features 20 tracks, all arranged by the two except for one song. While Spinetta actively incorporated drum machines and such at the time, a major point here is that all but two songs were recorded with live performances, allowing the emphasis on melody and vocals to shine through. Spinet's signature lyrical delivery shines in “Asilo En Tu Corazón” and “Todos Estos Años De Gente”, Paez composed the exquisite ballad “Dejaste Ver Tu Corazón”, the only track sung and performed by Paez “Parte De Aire” was composed the day after his father passed away, “Tengo Un Mono” showcases an ethnic side. The artwork, with Spinetta's face on the right half and Paes' on the left, is also amazing. Beautiful original.
84年にSpinetta Jadeはメンバーの仲違いで解散、その後にもう一人の巨人Charly Garciaとの共作に取り掛かっていたがこちらも頓挫。以前に共演していたFito Páezとの共同作品に取り掛かりキャリアを積み重ねていたスピネッタと若い世代とのコラボレーションが実現したようです。当時スピネッタは36歳、パエスは23歳。一曲以外は全て二人の手によるアレンジの全20曲が収録された大作。当時ドラムマシンなどを積極的に取り入れていたスピネッタですがこの作品は2曲以外は全て生の演奏で録られているのも大きなポイントでメロディや歌に重きが置かれているのを感じ取れます。スピネッタらしい独特な歌回し”Asilo En Tu Corazón”や”Todos Estos Años De Gente”、パエス作曲の極上バラード”Dejaste Ver Tu Corazón”、パエスの父親が亡くなった翌日に作曲した唯一パエスが歌い演奏する”Parte De Aire”、エスノな一面を見せる"Tengo Un Mono"。どこから聞いても間違いない超傑作。右半分がスピネッタの顔、左半分がパエスの顔となったアートワークも最高です。オリジナル美盤にて入荷しました。
