Les Amazones De Guinée was a large band formed entirely by female members of the Guinean army. This album released in 1983, captures their highly successful tour in France. It features the same dynamism and smooth, flowing performances found in other Syliphone bands. It must have been quite unusual for a band formed entirely by female members at the time. However, it's said that a member tragically died in a car accident the day after returning from the tour. That might explain why there are no other releases. Recorded all the tracks to listen to carefully. It's just wonderful.
全員ギニア軍の女性メンバーで結成された大所帯バンドLes Amazones De Guinée。本作は大成功に終わったというフランスでのツアーの模様を録音した83年リリース作品。Syliphoneの他のバンドに共通するようなダイナミズムの中に滑らかで流れるような演奏が全編に渡り収録されています。会場の熱気も伝わってきます。これを女性だけで結成していたなんて、当時でもかなり珍しかったのではないでしょうか。しかしメンバーの一人がツアーから帰国した翌日に交通事故で亡くなってしまったようで、そのメンバーに捧げられた作品でもあるようです。視聴全曲録ってありますのでじっくり聞いてみて下さい。素晴らしい録音です。
