Hungarian composer/musicologist László Hortobágyi. In the late 60's, he visited North India, where he learned not only traditional instruments but also philosophy and history, and the results of his studies of oriental music and electronics had a great influence on his musical career. This is true masterwork in 1989 that perfectly linked the results of oriental music research with electronics. It's amazing no matter where you drop the needle, recommend to start with "Bass Cult" that evokes a harsh pagan tribal feeling, "Bali-Sí Gat" a mix of traditional instruments, collage, and heavy beats, "Harmologix" where the reverberant drone echoes psychedelicly, "Reptiles' Temple 79'," which sounds like ritual in somewhere, and ”Mirage 88'” a traibal ambient track. First yellow/blue jacket.
