Kochi Kamechiyo, a master of Ryukyuan classical music who continues to influence and pass on the music to future generations. This work is thought to have been released around 1965. It contains 11 songs sung with a meditative voice that could be called a voice drone, emanating from his large physique, and occasionally with shamisen and the occasional koto. Include “Sanzanbushi” which is said to be difficult to sing, “Nakafu” which is sung with an amazingly extended voice, and “Kagiyadekaze,” which is known as one of the most popular classical Min'yō songs and is full of atmosphere. The overwhelming voice that seems to dominate everything is just incredible.
現在も後進に影響を与え続け継承されている琉球古典音楽巨匠 幸地亀千代。本作は65年頃の作品と思われる作品。三味線と時折琴を交えその大きな体躯から発せられるヴォイスドローンとも呼べそうな瞑想的な歌声で唄われる11曲を収録。難曲と言われる”散山節”での歌いまわし、”仲風”での驚異的な伸びのある声を交えた歌唱、もっとも親しまれる古典民謡として知られる風情溢れる”かぎやで風”。全てを支配するようなその圧倒的な歌声が凄すぎます。。
