A private release by the Pimental family, who hails from Niteroi, on the other side of Rio de Janeiro, and currently lives in the Netherlands.The father of the family, Júlio, composes the music and his close jazz players perform. First of all, "Banho De Césio" starts off with a spiritual opening, a mysterious interplay of berimbau, saxophone and mortar-pounding rhythms、The sound of a water jar accentuates the comfort zone of the "Chá"、The tribal-tinged "Bambú" recorded a lively session、Percussion, mortar sounds, and congas work gently to create an uplifting atmosphere in "Gersal.". A superb disc that combines nature, life and the avant-garde.
リオデジャネイロの対岸に位置するニテロイ出身で現在はオランダにて生活しているピメンタルファミリーが手掛けたプライベート盤。父親のJúlioが作曲を務め、近しいジャズプレイヤー達が演奏という布陣。まずはスピリチュアルな雰囲気の出だしからビリンバウ、サックス、乳鉢を搗くリズムなどがミステリアスに交錯する”Banho”、水甕の音をアクセントに心地いいゾーンに入っていく"Chá"、躍動感あるセッションを記録したトライバル色高めの”Bambú”、パーカッション、すり鉢を使った音、コンガなどが優しく作用して高揚感が充満していく”Gersal”。自然・生命・前衛が融合した超絶盤。
