Juan Castro Nalli is a composer/pianist from Lima, Peru. After graduating from a university specializing in law, he studied under several composers at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, Spain, and has since been active both in Peru and abroad as a cultural ambassador, composing across genres. This album includes a total of 11 tracks arranged in a contemporary style, including instrumental arrangement by Chabuca Granda, known for his Peruvian Waltz that incorporates Afro-Peruvian rhythms, the highlight of the elegant bossa inst number "Vocé, Vocé", and the light jazz ballad "Bac-A-Rach". Amazing piece that plays modern Latin, although it is probably not well known.
ペルー・リマ出身の作曲家/ピアニストJuan Castro Nalli。弁護士として国内の大学を卒業後はスペイン・マドリードの王立音楽院で複数の作曲家に師事、その後はジャンルにとらわれない作曲活動で文化大使として国内外で活動してきたようです。本作ではアフロペルーのリズムを取り入れたPeruvian Waltzで知られるChabuca Grandaのインスト・アレンジやハイライトの流麗なボッサ・ナンバー”Vocé, Vocé”、軽快なバラード・ジャズ”Bac-A-Rach”などコンテンポラリーな意匠でアレンジされた全11曲を収録。ほとんど知られていないと思いますがモダン・ラテンを奏でた素敵な一枚。貴重なコンデションと思います。
