One of the tribute works to Juan Almeida, a Cuban hero and musician who is known for his more than 300 compositions. This album features a crossover jazz sound from orchestral jazz to lounge to Latin jazz/funk, all under the direction of Adolfo Pichardo, a pianist/composer known as a major figure in the Cuban music history. The very technical and expressive performance common to the series is also excellent.
キューバの英雄にして音楽家としても300以上の楽曲を制作した事で知られるJuan Almeidaへのオマージュ作品の一つ。本作ではキューバ音楽界の重鎮として知られるピアニスト/作曲家 Adolfo Pichardo指揮の元、オーケストラジャズ～ラウンジ～ラテンジャズ/ファンクまでクロスオーヴァーなジャズサウンドを全編に収録。同シリーズに共通する非常にテクニカルで表現力豊かな演奏も素晴らしいです。
