Composer/trumpeter Joseph Chan, known for the seminal Hong Kong ambient masterpiece “Milk Of Love” featured in our store and having produced numerous productions and film scores to date. This 1988 work is the follow-up to the aforementioned “Milk Of Love”. While retaining its ambient sensibility, this album expands into a crossover of 10 tracks spanning smooth jazz, contemporary, and jazz-funk. Particularly outstanding are the mesmerizingly smooth jazz number “Sweet Dream” jazzy ambient track “A Night In Chengdu” where the trumpet's tone expands, the groovy, sparkling synth jazz funk “Eastern Lights,” and organic slow jazz “Touch Me Like The Sun”. Miraculously beautiful condition still in shrink wrap.
当店でも紹介した香港産アンビエントの金字塔作品”Milk Of Love”で知られ現在までに数多くのプロダクションや映画音楽を手掛けている作曲家/トランペット奏者 陳永良。本作は前述”Milk Of Love”からの続作となる88年作。アンビエントな感覚を引き継ぎながら今作ではスムースジャズ～コンテンポラリー～ジャズファンクまで拡張した全10曲を収録。とりわけうっとりするような滑らかでスムースなジャズナンバー”Sweet Dream”、トランペットの音色が広がっていくアンビエント・ジャズ”A Night In Chengdu”、グルーヴィに煌めきを放つシンセ・ジャズ・ファンク”Eastern Lights”、有機系スロージャズ”Touch Me Like The Sun”は秀逸。こちらも推薦な内容。入手困難かつ奇跡的なシュリンク付きの超美品。
