Along with the development of Son, "Filin" music emerged as a form of popular music, evolving through the modern sensibility of Bolero. José Antonio Méndez was a key figure who greatly contributed to its development. This album is a live recording from 1965, recorded after his return to Mexico following the Cuban Revolution. Total 15 tracks featuring a "modern" sound, sung beautifully in perfect harmony with every guitar note. The recording quality is also excellent, with just the right amount of audience cheers, applause, and background noise. Absolutely amazing. A beautiful Mexican original from 1965.
