Jorge Reyes, one of Mexico's leading musicians, born in Michoacán, Mexico. He started playing traditional instruments at a young age, traveled around Europe, India, and Central Asia, and formed the Mexican progressive band Chac Mool. He then released important solo works combining traditional music with electronic instruments. This 1989 release marks his final work as a record release. Featuring ancient instrumentation throughout, this ethno ambient tracks stand as one of his most serene and beautiful works.
メキシコ・ミチョアカン州生まれ、幼少から伝統楽器を手に取り、ヨーロッパ、インド、中央アジアでの周遊を経ながらメキシカン・プログレッシブ・バンドの代表格Chac Moolを結成、その後は伝統音楽と電子楽器を組み合わせたソロ活動においても重要作を発表し続けたメキシコを代表する音楽家Jorge Reyes。本作はレコードリリースとしては最後の作品となる89年作。古代楽器の響きが添えられ彼の作品群の中でも最も静的美しさに彩られたエスノアンビエント的トラックを全編で収録。ベストのひとつに挙げられる作品です。
